Week Two: Tracking Down Packages, Sparkly Pickleballs, and Road Tripping for Retailers!

Wow, week two of the Pickleball Pouch journey has been a whirlwind! From detective work with FedEx to prepping for our first big event, it's been a non-stop adventure. Let me fill you in:

The Case of the Missing Box:

Let's just say, the week started with a bit of a hiccup. One of our crucial shipments went missing in the FedEx abyss. Cue frantic phone calls, tracking number refreshes, and a whole lot of patience. Thankfully, after some serious sleuthing (and a few deep breaths), we located the wayward package. Crisis averted! It was a good reminder that in the world of small business, flexibility and persistence are key.

Adding Some Sparkle to the Court:

One of the most exciting developments this week was meeting with Guy Beard to discuss launching his incredible pickleball jewelry line on our website and at vendor events. Get ready to add some serious bling to your game! These pieces are absolutely stunning, and I'm thrilled to be partnering with Guy to bring them to the pickleball community. Think stylish pendants, bracelets, and more – the perfect way to show off your pickleball passion off the court. We’re working hard to get his line up on the site soon, so stay tuned!

Gearing Up for PickleRage!

We're just days away from our first big event: PickleRage at Avenues Walk, located at 10320 Shops Ln, Jacksonville, FL 32258! The excitement is building, and we're in full prep mode. We're double-checking inventory, organizing our booth setup, and making sure we have plenty of Ballboys ready to find new homes. If you're going to be at PickleRage on January 4th, be sure to stop by and say hi! We'd love to meet you and show you the Ballboy in person.

On the Road Again: Retailer Road Trip!

To expand our reach and get the Ballboy into the hands of even more pickleball players, I hit the road this week for some retailer outreach. I drove down to Amelia Island and then up to Savannah, Georgia, visiting pro shops and pickleball retailers along the way. It was a great opportunity to connect with local businesses, showcase the Ballboy, and explore potential partnerships. While building these relationships takes time, I'm confident that these connections will be invaluable in the long run.

What I Learned This Week:

  • Persistence pays off: Whether it's tracking down a lost package or building new partnerships, never give up!
  • Networking is essential: Connecting with other people in the pickleball community is crucial for growth.
  • Preparation is key: Getting ready for events takes time and effort, but it's worth it to make a strong impression.

It's been a busy but rewarding week, and I'm incredibly excited for what the future holds for Pickleball Pouch. Thanks for joining me on this journey! Don't forget to follow us on Instagram @Pickleball.Pouch for updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
